The Marine National Park Headquarters, National Park Service, Ministry of the Interior (MNPH) is in charge of protecting the marine ecology and of the management for the conservation of the Dongsha Atoll National Park. Dongsha Atoll National Park is the first marine national park in Taiwan. In the future, the MNPH will be evaluating the possibilities of establishing other marine national parks in the isles around Taiwan such as Lutao, the the Three Northern Island, and the South Penghu. The Headquarters hopes to increase the marine reserves to protect the marine lives around Taiwan.
