Currently there is no resident on the island but the officers of the Coast Guard Administration, the staffs of the Marine National Park Headquarters, National Park Service, Ministry of the Interior and some researchers. The island is still under the military control and the general public is not allowed to the island. For those who want to come the island must send the application and a research proposal to the Headquarters and the application must be approved by the Coast Guard Administration, too.
